How to Use the Just RoQH Balance Board

The Just RoQH Balance Board is designed to support ankle stability, foot strength, balance, mobility, coordination and overall body control. Whether you are an athlete, active individual, recovering from instability or simply looking to improve movement and balance, the board is built to help you train progressively and with confidence.

The system is designed around controlled movement gradual progression and body awareness — making it suitable for both beginners and advanced users.

Before You Start

For the best training experience always place the board on a flat, stable and non-slippery surface. A yoga mat, anti-slip mat or rubber-backed surface can help improve stability during use.

Set Up Your Space

Flat surface

Yoga mat, anti slip mat or rubber backed surface

Stable and non-slippery setup

Always place the board on a flat, stable and non-slippery surface.

First Time Users

If you are using the board for the first time, we recommend standing close to:

A wall

A chair

Another stable support point

This allows you to focus on movement control and confidence while learning how the board responds beneath your feet.

Footwear & Grip

Barefoot training

Grip socks

Athletic shoes with a flat sole

For optimal grip and activation, barefoot training or grip socks are recommended. Athletic shoes with a flat sole can also be used.

Two Progressive Training Levels

The Just RoQH system includes two balance configurations designed to support progressive training.

Beginner Level

Quick Release Slats

The slats create a more stable and controlled movement pattern making them ideal for:

  • Beginners
  • Mobility work
  • Rehabilitation support
  • Balance foundation training
  • Controlled ankle activation.

This setup helps users become familiar with the board while developing coordination and confidence.

Advanced Level

Balance Balls

The Balance Balls create a more dynamic and unstable surface that increases activation of stabilizing muscles throughout the feet, ankles, legs and core.

This level is ideal for:

  • Advanced balance training
  • Athletic performance
  • Deeper stabilizer activation
  • Coordination improvement
  • Increased movement challenge.

We recommend progressing gradually and only moving to advanced balance training once you feel comfortable and stable on the beginner setup.

Training Philosophy

The Just RoQH Balance Board is not designed around fast or uncontrolled movement.

The focus is on:

  • Controlled motion
  • Posture
  • Stability
  • Balance awareness
  • Proper foot activation.

Slow, mindful movement helps improve:

  • Coordination
  • Ankle control
  • Mobility
  • muscle engagement
  • Body awareness.

Consistency is more important than intensity. Small improvements over time lead to stronger and more stable movement patterns.

Recommended Training Frequency

Beginner Users

  • 2–3 sessions per week
  • Short controlled sessions
  • Focus on balance awareness and stability

Advanced Users

  • 3–5 sessions per week
  • Longer or more challenging sessions
  • Increased balance complexity and control work

Always progress at your own pace and avoid forcing unstable or painful movement.

Ideal For

The Just RoQH Balance Board can be used for many different training goals and lifestyles.

Suitable for:

  • Ankle stability training
  • Foot strengthening
  • Mobility work
  • Coordination training
  • Body control
  • Balance improvement
  • Recovery focused movement
  • Athletic warmups
  • Yoga and mindful movement
  • General lower body activation.

Used consistently the board helps improve movement quality and awareness from the ground up.

Training Environment

To get the most out of your sessions:

  • Train in a calm and open space
  • Avoid distractions
  • Move with focus and control
  • Listen to your body during training.

The board responds to subtle shifts in pressure and positioning, making body awareness an important part of the experience.

Progressing Safely

Everyone progresses differently. Some users may feel comfortable quickly while others need more time to build confidence and stability.

We recommend:

  • Starting slowly
  • Increasing difficulty gradually
  • Maintaining proper posture
  • Focusing on controlled movement before increasing intensity.

If you feel discomfort, instability, or pain, stop training and allow your body to recover.
